Violin teaching is a long game. Intonation, bow hold and posture take years to settle, and many students start very young, often with a parent practising alongside them. Intonation and tone: listen, record, compare
You can't fix intonation from a practice log alone. With “Ask your teacher” a student sends you a short video of a scale or a passage, and you reply about intonation, bow distribution or the shift that keeps landing sharp. In the lesson, put a video of yourself playing the piece next to the sheet music, whether that's a PDF, a MusicXML score or a MuseScore or flat.io embed, so the student knows what to aim for. Suzuki, classical and parents as practice partners
Whether you teach the Suzuki method, a classical method series or folk fiddle, lessons in Musicdott are free-form: you decide the order and the content. Organise lessons into categories, for example by book or level, and assign the next one when a student is ready.

Teach Mode in the violin studio
With a violin under the chin, a student can't lean over a laptop. Teach Mode puts the lesson on a second screen, TV or iPad in the room, paired by scanning a QR code, so the music is at reading height. You choose from your own screen what appears: the score, a video of the passage or a metronome. A YouTube recording stays in sync when you pause to talk about a phrase, so you can listen to a professional performance together and try it straight away.
