How an enquiry flows through Manager
- 1. Trial lesson booking.A visitor chooses a free slot on your website or your Musicdott booking page. Free slots come from the availability you set per teacher, minus the lessons already in the timetable. Two people can never book the same slot.
- 2. Reminder and aftercare.Before the trial lesson the person who booked gets an automatic reminder, and afterwards a "how did it go?" email. You can switch either off for your school.
- 3. Follow-up.After the trial lesson a call task is waiting for you. No answer? Mark it "no answer" and it comes back tomorrow. Agreed a time to call back? The task reappears on that day.
- 4. Enrolment.If it's a yes, the enrolment wizard creates the student and their recurring lesson series in one go, already filled in with the teacher, day and time of the trial lesson. When a parent signs up a child, the child becomes the student and the parent the contact.
Everything that hasn't turned into a booking yet stays on your waiting list, including questions left in the website chat, so no enquiry slips through the cracks.
Today: your to-do list for the day
The Today page shows today's lessons, signals that need attention and open follow-ups. After a no-show or a cancellation that needs a make-up lesson, Manager creates a contact task by itself, and closes it again once the reason has gone. The make-up lesson list uses colours to show how urgent each one is, and Manager suggests free slots with the same teacher.
Teacher hours, payouts and lesson fees
At the end of the month you close the hours. Manager first checks for lessons that haven't been registered, make-up lessons that are still open and teachers without a rate. Once a month is closed it's locked: later changes are blocked or flagged, so the payout matches what you exported as CSV.
Under Lesson fees you record per student per month whether they've paid, send payment reminders by email and export the lessons for your bookkeeping. Students can see in their own area whether their fee has come in. Musicdott itself does not send invoices or collect direct debits. In the admin table of yourstudent managementyou work with bulk actions, lesson series, lesson history and a CSV export.
Trial lessons and chat on your own website
With one line of code you add the trial-lesson planner and a chat to your existing website. The chat is scripted, not AI: it answers from your own FAQs and policies, and anyone with another question leaves a message that lands on your waiting list. Read more about the music school website widget.

Manager is an add-on to any Musicdott plan. You switch it on or off yourself on the billing page in the app once your subscription is active, so after the free first month. Switch it off whenever you like; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
Frequently asked questions
How much does the Manager add-on cost?+
Manager costs €19.95 a month excluding VAT, on top of your regular Musicdott plan (Standard, Pro or Compleet). If you switch it on partway through a billing period, you pay pro rata for the rest of that period.
Can I try Manager during the free first month?+
No. The free first month covers the Lesson Platform. You switch Manager on yourself on the billing page in the app as soon as your subscription is active.
What happens if I switch Manager off again?+
You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that the Management section disappears from your menu. Your students, lessons and timetable in the Lesson Platform stay exactly as they are.
Do I need a new website to take trial-lesson bookings online?+
No. You paste one line of code into your existing website, and you also get your own booking page on Musicdott that you can link to from social media, your Google Business Profile or a newsletter.
Does a booked trial lesson count as a student on my plan?+
No. A trial lesson sits on your waiting list, not among your students. Only when you enrol someone after the trial lesson do they become a student.
Does Manager invoice my students?+
No. Musicdott does not send invoices or collect direct debits on your behalf. Manager lets you record per student per month whether the lesson fee has been paid, email payment reminders and export the data for your bookkeeping.
