Trial-lesson booking and chat for your music school website

Keep the website you have. Musicdott provides the trial-lesson planner and the chat you place on it.

From website visitor to trial lesson, without the email ping-pong

Nearly every music school has a website, but anyone who wants a trial lesson usually has to fill in a contact form or pick up the phone. Then the back-and-forth about a suitable time begins, and in the meantime a parent books with the school that replied first.

With the website widgets in the Manager add-on, the visitor picks a free slot with one of your teachers, right on your own website. The booking appears on your waiting list in Musicdott immediately and the visitor gets a confirmation email. You don't need to replace your website to do it.

What works today, and what's still to come

◆

Trial-lesson planner

Visitors choose a free slot with one of your teachers themselves. The booking lands straight on your waiting list in Musicdott.

◆

Chat widget

A scripted chat (no AI) that answers from your own FAQs and policies. Anything it can't answer comes through to you.

◆

One snippet of code

Paste one script line into your site, then place the planner inline on a page, behind a pop-up button or as a floating chat button.

◆

Only on your domain

You verify your domain with a DNS TXT record or a meta tag. Only verified domains can show the widgets.

◆

Website builder (later)

Templates, your own domain and no-code page editing are on the roadmap. Not available yet.

On your website in four steps

  1. 1. Fill in your school profile.Under Management › Website you add your contact details, your lesson packages with length and price, and short answers to frequently asked questions and your policies. The chat and the trial-lesson planner both use that information.
  2. 2. Switch on trial lessons. You choose which teachers give trial lessons and set each teacher's availability. Musicdott subtracts the lessons already in the timetable, so visitors only see slots that are genuinely free.
  3. 3. Verify your domain.Add your website's domain and confirm it's yours with a DNS TXT record or a meta tag. Only verified domains are allowed to show the widgets.
  4. 4. Paste the code. One script line on your site, then choose per spot: the planner inline on a page, a button that opens it as a pop-up, or a floating chat button in the corner.

No website? You still get a booking page

Every school with Manager also gets its own booking page and chat page on Musicdott. Put that link in your Instagram bio, your Google Business Profile or a newsletter. Anything booked there lands on the same waiting list as bookings made through your website.

A chat that knows your school

The chat widget is deliberately scripted rather than AI-driven, so it never invents an answer about your prices or cancellation policy. Visitors click through fixed options or search the FAQs and policies you wrote. If their question isn't covered, they leave their details and a message, which arrives on your waiting list with the source "chat". Conversations can be read back for 30 days and are then deleted automatically.

After the booking

Before the trial lesson the person who booked gets a reminder, afterwards a "how did it go?" email, and a call task is waiting in your follow-up list. If it becomes an enrolment, the enrolment wizard creates the student and their recurring lesson series in one go. See how that fits into the rest of your admin on theManager page and instudent management software for music schools.

What about a full website builder?

A website builder with music school templates, your own domain and no-code page editing is on our roadmap, but it isn't available yet and we won't pretend otherwise. If you need a new website today, build it with the tool you prefer and add the Musicdott widgets to it. Keep an eye on our product updatesfor news.

Frequently asked questions

Can I build a complete music school website with Musicdott?+

Not yet. A website builder with templates and your own domain is on the roadmap, but it isn't available today. What you can do now is add trial-lesson booking and a chat to the website you already have.

Which websites does the trial-lesson widget work on?+

Any website where you can paste a snippet of HTML with a script. On WordPress, Squarespace, Wix and most other site builders that means an HTML block or a custom-code field. The widgets only appear on domains you have verified in Musicdott.

Do I need the Manager add-on?+

Yes. The website widgets, the booking page and the chat are part of Manager, which costs €19.95 a month excluding VAT on top of your Musicdott plan.

Does the chat use artificial intelligence?+

No. The chat is scripted: visitors click through fixed options and can search the answers you wrote yourself for your FAQs and policies. If their question isn't covered, they leave a message for you.

How long are chat conversations kept?+

You can read conversations back under Management › Website › Chat. They are deleted automatically after 30 days.

I don't have a website. Can I still take bookings?+

Yes. Every school with Manager gets its own booking page and chat page on Musicdott, which you can link to from Instagram, your Google Business Profile or a newsletter.
